Christmas in 2007

Ashton and I had a great Christmas break. We spent a week down in AZ with my family. It was so nice and warm every single day. I had a great time making some pillows and curtains for my family. And spending lots of quality time with my friends.

Then we headed back up to UT to be with Ashton's family for Christmas day. We had such a great time eating Christmas Eve chili, cookies that the grandkids made, and just spending some good time with our family. All 8 kids with their spouses (if they are married) and their children (if they have them) were there. It was definitely a full house. Each day was filled with fun and laughter and each night was sat around and played lots of games. Jordan just got hotels (an old game from the 80's) which seemed to be a big hit among the Buswell siblings.

Although Christmas Eve was stormy and snowy, Christmas Day was unbelievably beautiful! We woke up to clear skies with the whole earth covered in white.

It was the perfect day for some sledding. I do not ever remember going sledding in my whole entire life, so I count this as my first time. And what a beautiful time it was! Although I did go off this one jump and rolled on my head, it was still loads of fun.

We got some good gifts. Our favorite was by far some good additions to our food storage and getting Christmas cards from our friends who we don't get to see, and even those that we do get to see.

After Christmas we had a wonderful experience in the Ogden temple with Ashton's family. His grandpa is a sealer there and every endowed person was there to do sealings as his grandpa was the sealer. It was beautiful.

We spent some good time playing with all of our cute nieces and one nephew (we have one more on the way due in Jan!)

I was working on some research when Tess and Jaycie came in. I pulled up the paint program on the computer and they each took turns coloring. It was so dang cute. Not too long after, Addi and Landon came in to join the fun. We had such a great time coloring and jumping all over the bed!

Here's the lovely Pollack-esque cousin picture we drew together.

The little girls love to get visited by the tickle monster!

Me and Tess and Addi just playing around.

Ashton's phone was plugged in on the floor next to his razor. We took the phone away hoping to keep it from getting ruined. So the razor was the next best thing to call grandma!

We ended our stay up north by doing a simulated surf and then sky dive. It was pretty intense. We had a great time with both families and feel privileged that we were able to spend so much great time with everyone. We hope everybody's Christmas was as wonderful as ours was.
